What exactly makes this such a tough decision? His body, his choice. That said, Terrelle is a good player and a Pittsburgh guy, I hope he lands somewhere. Pryor did not play in last Thursday's preseason opener against the Ravens, but it's unclear if his absence was due to the injury.
The year-old will likely need to return to practice Tuesday if he is to be available for Thursday's preseason contest versus the Eagles. Pryor has bounced around the league since his breakout with Cleveland, catching 36 passes for yards and three touchdowns in 17 games for the Redskins, Jets and Bills.
He'll have a decent shot to make the man roster in Jacksonville, where the wideout corps is led by Dede Westbrook, Marqise Lee, D. Chark, Chris Conley and Keelan Cole. Pryor will turn 30 in June and seems to have finished out in good health after the Bills cut him in mid-November. It doesn't seem Pryor has had many suitors since the former Ohio State quarterback failed to stick with either the Bills or Jets in His last known visit was to Detroit last November.
Now getting a look in Jacksonville, Pryor would be far from guaranteed to make the final man roster if signed to a contract. Detroit had a need for some extra wideout depth with Marvin Jones knee ruled out for the Week 11 matchup with the Panthers, but the team ultimately decided to promote Andy Jones from the practice squad to fill the void rather than signing Pryor.
The year-old should continue to garner more workout invitations in the weeks to come, but it's hard to see him capturing a meaningful role with any team after both the Jets and Bills -- which own two of the weaker receiving corps in the NFL -- chose to drop him from their rosters earlier this season. Pryor's run in Buffalo will end after two games. In the first one Week 9 against the Bears , he hauled in just two of five passes for 17 yards while logging 83 percent of the offensive snaps.
This past Sunday versus the Jets, his workload experienced a significant cut to 43 percent of the snaps on offense, as he gathered in none of his three targets.
The experiment clearly didn't go as planned, and the Bills will instead rely on a cadre of young pass catchers moving forward. Pryor will return to the workout circuit as he seeks another opportunity. Pryor failed to record a reception on his three targets in Sunday's win over the Jets. Pryor was nowhere to be found against his former team, logging only 31 offensive snaps 42 percent after leading Bills wideouts in reps just a week prior.
Given the inconsistency of his snap counts, Pryor won't attract much fantasy attention once the Bills return from their bye next week. Pryor started and played 75 of a possible 91 offensive snaps 82 percent in Sunday's loss to the Bears, finishing with two receptions for 17 yards on five targets while losing a yard on his lone carry. All the pressure is on the Rams now, but what does the OBJ signing mean for fantasy? Aminata Diallo was released from police custody Thursday without charge but authorities are still investigating an attack on one of her teammates.
