Should i rewrite or destroy the geth

Namely, destroying the heretics puts two points toward unlocking the option to establish peace between the two races. While it is indeed possible to get the requisite five points and gain access to that option without going Renegade in Legion: A House Divided, players that want to both rewrite the heretics and facilitate peace will need to be quite careful with some of their other actions. With all of this said, perhaps the most important thing to consider when deciding whether to rewrite the heretics or destroy them is the morality of the action.

While opting to rewrite the Geth may be the more humane option, as it leaves them alive at the very least, some Commander Shepards may simply not be willing to alter the heretics' minds in this fashion. Navigating the station is straightforward and you will be given additional insight into how geth society works and what possibly caused the main geth and the heretics to drift apart.

These are factors to consider when pondering whether you should rewrite or kill the geth heretics. Most of the combat is close quarters, so be sure to stick with that. At the end, you will find a large room with a terminal that needs to be hacked in order to stop the heretics.

You will be required to hold out around the terminal until then. Thankfully, you get a good vantage point as you look down over a room where hostile geth will make their entry and turrets can be hacked for additional defense.

Note that the turrets can only be hacked once since they will self-destruct after a little bit, so use them sparingly. Once enough enemy waves are defeated it will be time to make a decision. Legion will let you decide since he is unable to come to a consensus about what to do and leaves the fate of his people in your hands.

You can either destroy and kill a good portion of the geth, which is like killing a bunch of Legions in a way, or you can rewrite them to convince them that worshipping the Reapers is bad, but then you'll be taking away their free will in a way. Rewriting the heretics will give you more paragon points whereas destroying them will give you more renegade points. I'm seriously debating whether rewriting the geth in Legion's loyalty mission is a good idea.

Tali said "Can we trust them not to attack us later on? Will I regret not destroying the "heretics? Ever since Jack, Tali and Thane died on the Normandy on my first playthrough I've been seriously thinking about how every choice will affect future situations.

Re-writing gives you plenty of paragon and destroying gives plenty of renegade. Quarians or geth? You rewrite the heretics, the Geth will have a larger war asset score, and if you destroy them, the quarians will have a larger score.

The Geth are sentient machines. Rewriting them would be like brainwashing people. But just because they less evil afterwards does not mean that all others forget it aswell. If you've sticked to paragon so far, why leave the path?

Especially if you aim for peace later on. This series has so many facets from good to bad and much more in between. Listen to your guts and follow your instincts. If you do it right, your choice here may not hinder a peaceful future.

Well, since you know that the Geth and quarians go to war in ME3, then you'll just need to choose which one of them you would like to have more around. Rewriting the heretics makes the Geth stronger, causing more problems to quarians and more casualties , and destroying them makes the quarian's war easier and less of them die.
